GUIDE 2019 “THE BEST EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OILS OF THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY

Yovirgenextra presents “EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OILS OF THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY” made possible by the yovirgenextra EVOO forum, launched by Pj Trading Consulting (experts in internationalization of food sector SMEs, exportation consultants for the Valencian Institute of Business (IVACE), and member of the College of Agronomists of Levante).

Objectives:

Market positioning and dissemination of information on the olive oil sector in the Valencian Community as well as promoting its commercialization both nationally and internationally.

Content:

More than merely presenting the different EVOOs, this guide will arouse interest in purchasers through recipes, pairings, and articles appropriate for buyer profiles. For example:

• 10 reasons to consume EVOO from the Valencian Community

• Protocol for using and serving EVOO

• Using EVOO in Valencian cuisine such as rice dishes, traditional cooking, and desserts

• EVOO of the Valencian Community as part of a healthy diet

Articles are authored by nationally and internationally known experts in their respective fields.

Dissemination of the guide

The guide will be published in English, Spanish and Valencian.

 

It will be distributed free of charge to the following:

• Nationally to 200 specialized stores and 40 distributors in Madrid, Catalunya, Malaga, and the Basque country.

• Internationally to 100 importers, active EVOO purchasers in 2017 who have a positive credit status from the following countries: Germany, Norway, Holland, United Kingdom, and Belgium.

• National and international fairs of this sector.

 • Social networks, gaining access to a public of an estimated 50,000 Foodlovers.

The guide and awards

The guide will be published in October, coinciding with the beginning of the harvest, and awards for the new EVOOs will be granted in January.

Agricultural engineer, technical manager of Almazara Qori, a 250 hectare superintensive olive grove

Susan Hoover – USA

Expert EVOO sommelier and manager of
The Rain in Spain.

Gonzalo Pin – Spain

Master Miller at OliOli Biodinamico, which won the award for healthiest EVOO in the world.

Juan Luis Barrios – Spain

Manager of Aceites Albert which is sold in 30 countries.

Toni Carceller – Spain

Community Manager, manager of LAlbereda Catering and participant in Masterchef 6.

Eduardo Ballesteros- Spain

Head of Quality Control in Parcs Naturals and expert wine sommelier.

Francisco Albert – Spain

Consultant for food sector business internationalization and expert in EVOO.

Participation costs

Each participating company will receive a personalized list of 20 importers from one of the following countires: China, Japan, USA to use at their own discretion.
